Online Theory Lesson Guideline
•Virtual Online Classes•
Classes are taught on Skype. Classes are instructor-guided and interactive with questions answered during class. Students will need to use a laptop with the Skype App downloaded. We will email you the tutor’s username when you register for the class. For faster connection and best results, students do not need to turn on the video.
•Review and Quick Test•
There are reviews and quick tests in every lesson in order to enhance students’ motivation and engagement in the class. For the first 15 minutes, the instructor will review the previous lesson and have a quick test for you. At the end of the lesson, the instructor will also give a quick test about the material that is taught.
•Homework and Mock Exams•
Students have to buy the textbook and exam practise paper, the homework is due the same day or next to ensure they are graded. sending homework: students will need to download a 'pdf scanner' app onto their phone or tablet. A good recommended app is 'Adobe Scan', but there are many others in the app store. Please make sure you take focused images of the homework clear of any shadows or grey-scale. If necessary use the flash on the phone so that the background is white and not grey. Please email all pages as one pdf file (the app should do this automatically). It is very important to follow these steps, as multiple separate pages, images, non-pdf format, shadows or poorly taken pictures may not be graded. We will grade them and email them back to you. Students are required to complete tests at home. Parents must ensure that these tests are completed and returned no more than one day later.
